Kamchatka travel holding "Krai-Purga"

S.01. 6-hour

Period: June-September
6 hours
motor boat
Staff: guide

The programme includes a review excursion around Avachinskaya Bay and a visit to Starichkov Island. This small plot of land is inhabited by colonies of seabirds, including tufted puffins, slaty-backed gulls, cormorants, guillemots, black-legged kittiwakes; the colonies are situated on the rocky slopes of the island. The waters around the island have been often visited by killer whales (orcas) and curious sea lions or harbor seals, the latter often use to escort people in the course of landing. Sport fishing and making a fresh fish-soup aboard the ship is a nice experience to get an insight about sea inhabitants of Kamchatka!
