T.03. Express tour across Kamchatka

    This tour gives you the opportunity to embrace the most popular tourist places for a short period of time as well as feel a real discoverer. The following routes are included - the Mutnovskaya volcano group (the Gorely, the Mutnovsky, the Viluchinskiy), the Avachinskaya volcano group (our "home" volcanoes the Avacha, the Koryaksky volcano, the Kozelsky volcano).

    The culmination of the tour is the excursion to the unique Valley of geysers - the natural pearl which is famous worldwide with its geysers, mud cauldrons, hot springs. No less than the Valley the neighbouring caldera of the Uzon volcano is memorable and exciting - the sight of steaming colourful acid lakes and thermophile algae will take your breath away.

    Flight to the Kurilskoye lake is a great part of the tour. You will watch bears' leisurely lifestyle, their fishing habits and games.

    The final part is a voyage across the Avacha Bay - the main sea gates of the peninsula and one of the most comfortable  and hospitable harbours in the world.

    Throughout the whole tour you will have several opportunities to bathe in healing hot springs which will help you to cheer up and continue your adventure full of beans!


  • Day 1.  Arrival to Kamchatka.Transfer to the resort area Paratunka. Accommodation. Bathing in thermal pool. Rest. 


  • Day 2. Variant 1. Transfer to the helicopter pad. A helicopter tour to the Valley of Geysers and the Caldera of the Uzon volcano (duration - 7 hours). Tour includes flying around the Karymskiy and the Small Semyachik active volcanoes. 1,5 excursion in the Valley of Geysers. Flight to the Uzon (10 minutes), an hour excusrsion across the Eastern thermal field. Flight to the Dzendzur tourist camp on the Zhupanova river (40 min). Lunch and bathing in hot thermal springs. Return to the heliport in Elizovo (35 min). The tour cost is not included in the package price and is paid separately - 37 000 roubles per person. Changes are possible in case of bad weather and the tour is put off untill next day. Variant 2. Tour to the Koryak settlement "Kaynyran". Learning the traditions and daily routine of the local people of Kamchatka. Native dancing and singing. The programme lasts 4 hours and costs 7 000 roubles per person. Transfer to the Zelenovskye thermal springs with sulphureous and hydrogenous water composition (300 roubles per hour). Return to the hotel.
  • Day 3. Drive to the volcanic plateau to the Mutnovkaya volcano group. Trekking tour to the Vilyuchinsky waterfall and the fumarole field of the Dachny hot springs. Lunch. Return to the hotel.
  • Day 4. Transfer to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Accommodation in the hotel. Bus tour around the city centre. Visiting museums, historical monuments, fish market and souvenir shops (2 hours). Transfer to the berth. A sea trip along the Avacha bay to the sea birds reserve "Starichkov Island". Fishing for plaice, perch, halibut, sea-urchin, crab (duration - 5 hours). Return to the hotel.
  • Day 5. Rafting tour on the Bystraya river. Fishing. Bathing in Malkinskiye hot thermal springs. Lunch. Return to the hotel.
  • Day 6. Variant 1. Transfer to the helicopter pad. Helicopter tour to the Kurilskoye lake. Watching bears and fish run, bathing in Khodutka hot river. Lunch (duration - 7 hours). The cost of the excursion - 37 000 roubles per person. Changes are possible in case of bad weather and the tour is put off untill next day. Variant 2. Transfer to the stables "Ranch house". Horse riding lesson. Horse riding trip to the nature monument Aquarium on the Left Avacha river (10 hours). The cost - 6 000 roubles per person. Return to the hotel.
  • Day 7. Ascent to the crater of Avachinsky volcano (9-10 hours). The elevation difference between the hostel and the highest point of the trip is only about 1900 meters. Light meal on the way during the ascent. Numerous volcanoes, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (which is 25 kilometers off the volcano) and the Pacific ocean are well observed from the top of Avachinsky. On top you will see a smoking frozen lava field, formed with the eruption of 1991. Drive to the coast of the Pacific ocean  is possible on request. The cost of the tour - 4 500 roubles per person. Return to the hotel in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy.
  • Day 8. Visiting the fish market. transfer to the airport. Departure.

Cost include: transportation, breakfasts at the hotels, meals on the route (three meals a day, fresh cooked), guides, cook, equipment for camping and field kitchen, rafting equipment, tents, hotel accommodation in Petropavlovsk and in the resort zone Paratunka, excursions (except for the helicopter excursion to the Valley of Geysers and the Kurilskoye lake).

Not included: lunch and dinner while in hotel in Petropavlovsk (Paratunka). Helicopter excursion to the Valley of Geysers and caldera of the volcano Uzon is paid for separately (34 000 rubles per person) as well as to the Kurilskoye lake (32 000 roubles per person).


  • Staff: during the active part of the tour: 2 guides, cook; during rafting: 1 guide on each vessel; in town: 1 guide; helicopter excursion – 1 guide.
  • Accommodation: in Petropavlovsk: hotel, DBL, TV, washroom on the floor; in Paratunka: hotel, DBL, washroom for two rooms, thermal pool; out of town: tents(2-3 persons each).
  • Meals: out of town: three meals a day, fresh, cooked on fire; at hotels (Petropavlovsk or Paratunka): only breakfast. Lunch and supper to be paid for separately; helicopter excursion - lunch.
  • Transport during the tour: meeting and seeing off at the airport – for a group of tourists - bus, 20-30 seats; on the route to the volcanoes: truck 6 WD, 15 seats; excursions round the town: minibus, 12-20 seats.
  • Weight of your backpack: you will only need your backpack during ascents and rafting. We recommend to have a backpack with a capacity of about 70 liters. For ascent you need to have on you only a warm coat and a flask of water, and the rest of the things are left in the base camp.
  • Weather: air temperature: day-time - +12+25°C, night-time - +5+15°C. During the ascent it may drop down to 0°C. Wind and rain are possible as well.
  • Items recommended to have: a backpack, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, runners, boots (or rubber boots with firm soles), windproof clothes, training suit, sweater, pants, coat with a hood, raincoat, spare socks, hat or cap, gloves, swimming items, personal hygienic items and first aid kit, matches or lighter, flashlight, sunglasses, mosquito repellent, sunscreen cream, extra little backpack or a bag (up to 30 liters capacity). All other items - just up to you.
